Export Readiness Program

The Greater Shepparton City Council is inviting businesses in the wine and food processing industries to participate in a free Export Readiness Program in 2008.

The program is specifically designed to give businesses that are interested in or close to exporting the strategies and knowledge they need to take the next step.

The Council recognises that major food processing and wine are two of the region's key agricultural economic generators, and many of the businesses in these industries are already successfully exporting.

Their success provides an opportunity for smaller producers who are interested in exporting to utilise their skills and knowledge.
The Export Readiness Program will see participants receive training on key steps to exporting, as well as networking opportunities with other potential exporters, businesses already successfully exporting and Council and State and Federal Government representatives.

The program will run from March to October, with one training or networking event scheduled each month.

All businesses are welcome to participate in the program, regardless of any association or industry body membership.

If you would like to register your interest in participating in this program, or you would like further information, please contact Alicia Keogh on (03) 5832 9848, 0448 321 113 or alicia.keogh@shepparton.vic.gov.au.
